The dead internet theory has never been of much interest to me. Maybe because I barely find myself heavily consuming on social media lately. Whenever I find myself at a function anywhere and a popular TikTok song plays, best believe I will only know it if I actually discovered it elsewhere. So, when it comes to the fact that at some point, most of what we consume will come from some robots, AI, or bots that were made for that task, I think it will not affect me as much. I might be wrong.

What has affected me the most now, is how the internet is already dead, because most of us are creators of what we do not believe in and what we cannot ever find ourselves truly able to defend, or at the least, comprehend fully, which makes us the bots we fear will take over sooner or later.

In light of this, what do you believe in? Are your beliefs a framework of what you have truly understood and find yourself aligned with or are they a combination of what the influencer you follow on all your socials promoted after being paid huge amounts to do so and signing an NDA? When we find ourselves believing, sometimes we need some time, not to be skeptical about everything, but to gauge our alignment with what we sign ourselves up to die for.

Truly speaking, we cannot find ourselves interesting because instead of focusing on us, we are distracted by what we are ‘supposed’ to be. And who we are meant to be is someone else’s craft, no wonder we never end up feeling satisfied with ourselves. We never allowed us to be who we independently craft ourselves to be.

I’m not an advocate of ‘this is just how I am’. I’m a firm believer in refocusing, unlearning, relearning, tearing minds up and rebuilding them. Because this world makes it seem like an offense to change your mind when the act is one of the best transformations for us as humans. I don’t expect everyone to hold the same beliefs as me, I’m just a voice behind a mind that’s built itself to be this way. However, I sometimes find myself in better positions than multiple people and eager to learn more and apply more to this unpredictable life. So here I am, writing to you, asking you to think again, because maybe you haven’t done so in a while and you’ve let other people and entities do that for you.

What do you believe in? Truly. What are you aligned with?
